 OVC is a high-energy volleyball community dedicated to helping athletes of all ages build confidence, develop skills, stay active, and grow their love for the game. From youth development programs to adult leagues, camps, clinics, and competitive play, OVC focuses on creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for athletes of all skill levels.

Our youth programs are designed to combine age-appropriate volleyball development with teamwork, leadership, movement, coordination, and positive social interaction in an engaging and encouraging atmosphere.

Role Overview

Lead Volleyball Coaches are responsible for leading fun, structured, and engaging volleyball sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels. Lead Coaches create a positive learning environment where athletes can improve their volleyball abilities, build confidence, and develop strong teamwork and sportsmanship skills.

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated individuals who are passionate about volleyball, youth development, and creating meaningful experiences through sport and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging volleyball sessions for athletes ages 5–16
• Deliver age-appropriate drills, gameplay, and skill development activities
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all athletes
• Encourage confidence, participation, teamwork, and enjoyment
• Provide athletes with instruction, feedback, and encouragement
• Support positive behavior and strong group engagement
• Communicate professionally and positively with parents, athletes, and staff
• Assist with setup and take down of volleyball equipment and courts
• Mentor and support Development Coaches during programs
• Participate in training and ongoing coach development opportunities
• Support camps, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and special OVC events.

• Enjoys working with children and youth
• Energetic, positive, and confident leading groups independently
• Passion for volleyball, sport, physical activity, and youth development
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organized, and responsible
• Volleyball coaching and/or playing experience preferred
• Experience working with children (coaching, camps, teaching, childcare, placements, etc.) considered an asset
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Must be willing to provide a criminal background check.
